Customer Service Representative
I found this job through ZipRecruiter and got a call from a recruiter. After they told me about the job, I got a preliminary interview, which was about 10 minutes long. I met with a manager to talk about the position and see if we were a match. They said I'd hear back the same day if I stood out. Seeing other people in the lobby, I knew it was competitive. The recruiter called me back around 4 PM that day and invited me for a second interview the next day. The second interview was longer, about 45 minutes, and I met with two account managers. One was learning how to interview, so it was a teacher-student dynamic, which I liked. The experienced manager and the trainee were professional and fun, and explained things well. They even bought me Starbucks because it was a busy day. It was a good experience, and my expectations are clear now that I'm training.
- What makes you a better investment than other candidates?
Sales Representative
The interview process had three rounds. I was impressed by the company's professionalism. I talked with the office manager and a team leader. We had to go outside the office to interview because of a lack of space, but at least I got free coffee. The company mentioned they are always interviewing but hiring occasionally, which made me a bit skeptical of the other applicants.
- Are you interested in a management role?
Marketing
The office was quiet and empty. I met with my interviewer and we didn't talk about anything related to salary or growth. I'm not sure if they just wanted to see what I look like. I was told during the second interview that I would speak with someone else who would inform me about salary, growth, and how to become a manager within months.
- Where do you envision yourself living, in an RV or a mansion?
Account Executive
Applied through Ziprecruiter and got a call and email for a preliminary interview. Went for both the first and second interview, and they asked really basic questions. It was a bummer to see five other people interviewing for the same job at the same time. The interviewer wouldn't directly say it's a sales job, making me figure it out myself. They use pay and promotion chances to get you to come back for more interviews. If you like sales, this place might be for you.
- Which of these do you prioritize: work environment, pay, or career advancement?
