First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at VINCI Construction.
Digital Marketing Specialist
The recruitment process at Vinci Construction felt really smooth and human. After sending my CV, I had a first phone call to check my background and understand my motivations. Then, I was invited for an interview with an HR person and an operational manager: we talked about my experiences, what I like doing, and how I could contribute to projects. It was quite practical, not at all intimidating. They also presented the missions in more detail to see if it matched what I was looking for. After the interviews, I quickly got clear feedback on the next steps. Overall, I really felt like the goal was as much to get to know me better as to help me understand the Vinci Construction environment.
- Could you walk me through a digital campaign you've managed end-to-end, detailing the outcomes?
Senior Safety Officer
Got technical questions on a bunch of topics, and they gave me plenty of time to answer them. They explained the whole process really clearly. The interviewers were respectful. They explained the project details thoroughly. I was asked three technical questions, three leadership questions, and three value-based questions.
- How do you define respect in a professional setting?
Data Analyst Intern
First, a chat with HR to check general skills and see if you're a good fit. The HR person will welcome you, give you a quick overview of the interview, and ask you to introduce yourself. They'll then ask about your general skills needed for the job. After that, the manager will meet you, explain their role, and we'll check your technical skills and cultural fit.
- Could you share your motivation for applying to this role?
- Tell me about yourself.
- What are your general skills that are relevant to this position?
HRIS Analyst
First, there was an interview with HR. Then, an interview with the manager. Finally, a third interview with the director of the Application division at Vinci Construction. The director's involvement highlights the importance of this role. This process also suggests Vinci Construction is looking for candidates who are committed and intend to stay with the company long-term, though it's worth noting that employee retention isn't optimized post-hiring. Be aware that there are many established processes and hierarchical structures that can be complex to navigate.
- What is your interest in HRIS systems?
- Can you walk us through your career journey and how your aspirations have changed over time, leading you to apply for this position at Vinci?
