Behavioral Technical

I sent my resume for a Sales job and after about two weeks, the Assistant to the Store Director called me to set up an interview with a Store Manager at the Grand Central Station location. When I went in, I was impressed by how the Sales Associates were handling customers and how friendly and happy they were. I then asked for the Store Manager, she introduced herself, and after I filled out an application and waited a bit, she interviewed me in a quiet area of the store. She asked basic interview questions, shook my hand, thanked me, and said she'd get back to the Store Director and Assistant. They would compare notes to see if they were interested in moving me to the next level, which is seeing if the Assistant and Store Director wanted to interview me, and they would be in touch about the decision.

It was a pretty standard process, mostly just asking about my skills. Since I was applying for a design internship, they also looked over my resume and portfolio. They asked me about my education and the design courses I completed.

Behavioral

The interview process consisted of behavioral questions. I had one interview with the store manager and then another with the District manager. It felt easy to get the job, as long as you could describe your fashion sense and show interest in selling. The environment is competitive for sales. The District manager is really nice.
