Care Coordinator
The interview process was straightforward, especially if you have a good understanding of the job's requirements. They provided a thorough explanation of the position's details, which made it easy to determine if I was interested in proceeding.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this company?
Clinical Laboratory Scientist
The interview went well. They were focused on assessing my familiarity with operating chemistry machines and my understanding of manual testing procedures. A key part of the assessment was determining if I could identify and explain morphology when presented with an abnormal CBC report.
- Can you discuss hematology abnormalities and morphology findings?
- What are your skills regarding Urinalysis?
Analyst
They ask standard questions in the first round. It’s important to read the job description so you know what you’re applying for. The interview gets more casual as you advance. They also want to see if you’re a likable person with hobbies and interests. Since it’s a startup, the interview can be unpredictable. Make sure to answer the question asked DIRECTLY.
- Can you tell me about your experience with XYZ software and provide an example?
Engineer
I applied online and went through two phone screens. Then, I was flown out for an in-person interview where I met the whole Data team and the CTO. The Data team members were all really nice, and the conversations and questions were straightforward. It was mostly situational questions about how I'd handle things, plus a few basic data questions about joins and updates, and a short whiteboard session. The CTO mentioned he's in insurance solely to make a lot of money, which felt like a major red flag given his position.
- Can you explain basic database concepts like joins, unions, updates, and delserts?
- How would you approach this specific situation?
- Describe a time you dealt with a similar scenario.
