First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Village Tavern.
Manager
I talked to the GM, then a corporate officer. They asked about my past experience and some basic stuff. Then they talked a lot about their company and vision.
- Can you describe past experiences dealing with unhappy customers?
Server
It was a 2 person meet and greet, then a menu test, and finally a training audition. The crew and management were super professional and informative, with tons of experience. I'll really miss them.
- How would you handle a situation where you felt threatened or abused at work?
Server
The interview process was easy, with two interviews with different managers on the same day, which was pretty smooth. They asked about yourself and then asked questions about your resume.
- What's your experience in serving?
- What makes you want to work here?
Server
I went in and sat down with someone who interviewed me. They didn't ask many questions and mostly told me about the company. I think this is because I have 4 years of experience.
- Could you tell us about your wine knowledge?
