I had a good interview process with the GSK recruiter. They kept in touch at every step. I could reschedule interviews if needed. The questions were clear and the panel answered my questions during the interview.

I had an interview with the recruiter, then an online interview with HR in Sudbury ON, followed by two interviews with marketing and the head of sales. The HR communication was really messy, using a text messaging app that didn't work well with North American numbers, so messages came from different numbers and HR never identified themselves. This led to a breakdown in communication where I was told they tried to reach me, but I had no texts, voicemails, or missed calls. I followed up, and they blamed me for not responding, even though there was no record of them trying. The whole process took too long, and I ignored previous negative feedback about the company from other reps and doctors, which I should have taken more seriously. Red flags are red flags.

had a few phone calls and pre-screens first, then moved to individual interviews and then a panel interview. We had to study the package insert and do roleplaying. There were mock selling scenarios where I had to act out with the manager and future coworkers. Lots of questions were repeated and it felt very formulaic rather than a real conversation.

Awkward, impersonal, but great if you're an individual that loves to film yourself talking to no one. I get there's a pandemic and companies want to save money, but from the get-go there was zero human interaction. Applied online, a few weeks later received an email from an internal recruiter based in Costa Rica (I'm in the U.S.) telling me to follow the instructions/link and conduct a recorded interview. However there was no human interviewing me. A bunch of questions with a timer counting down then given 5 minutes to answer in front of a camera that was recording you- and no redos! If companies are so impersonal and cheap they can't even reach out to you in person and speak to you and then they expect you to take an hour to film yourself answering generic STAR questions so your "audition video" can go off to some screening panel or hiring manager- no thanks, pass. Oh and your video is now property of ViiV Healthcare so they can do whatever they like with it. Creepy.
