I applied for a different job initially, but it turned out the description wasn't quite right. I did two interviews for that role, one virtual and one in person. Then, they suggested I apply for this UI/UX role instead. I had another interview for this one, and they offered me the job. I accepted, but two weeks later, they rescinded the offer for reasons I don't know. When I asked why, they ghosted me. It was a waste of my time.

Behavioral Technical

It was a multi-stage interview process since I was a temp-to-perm hire. I started with a phone interview, then went in for an in-person interview with the sub-contractor, which served as the technical interview. Finally, I had another in-person interview with the director of software engineering. The interview went very well, although it confusingly began with a QA skills test, which was intended for another candidate. I clarified my role, and after an apology and a shared laugh, we proceeded. Following some questions about my teamwork abilities, I received the job offer.

Coding Technical Behavioral Presentation

So I had this interview, and honestly, it was pretty rough, like, two rounds and I was done. First up was virtual. Nobody had their camera on, for like, 45 to 60 minutes. They jumped straight into asking if I had questions, which was weird, instead of introducing themselves or talking about the job. Then it was all technical 'gotcha' questions via chat, with coding challenges thrown in without any real context. The job description itself was super vague, just mentioning Figma and 'fullstack work' with some random state libraries. Then came the in-person interview, but getting there was a mess. Minimal instructions, just 'park in the garage to the left.' No receptionist, just a doorbell that nobody answered. I had to just walk in when someone was leaving. When I said I was there for an interview, nobody really helped. My scheduled interviewer wasn't even there in person, they just joined virtually. And guess what? Camera stayed off, just like the first round. The office vibe was also weird, super quiet, tense, no one talking or collaborating. The CEO was just walking around in a baseball jersey, like watching everyone. They bragged about an arcade machine that looked totally unused. They also mention amenities and locations on their website that aren't even real. After all that, driving to the office for an interview that then went virtual without telling me beforehand, I'd seriously tell other people to stay away. It's like they pretend to be one thing online but the reality is totally different, and the interview process was just unprofessional. It felt like bigger problems within the company. Seriously, save yourself the headache.
