I applied for one job, but the hiring manager for a different role saw my resume and reached out because she thought I'd be a good fit. She was really enthusiastic about her opening and asked if I'd consider it instead of the one I applied for. I was interested after she told me more about it. We had a 1-hour call the next day, and then I went to their office in Baltimore for a 3.5-hour interview with 5 people. The hiring manager went first, and it was kind of weird because she was curled up in her chair while we talked. She was nice, though. The other interviewers were all really positive and said I had a great skill set. They also mentioned the hiring manager was eager to meet me. I waited 15 minutes after the last person, and then her secretary told me the hiring manager was busy and would call me later. I sent thank you emails that night. Only one interviewer got back to me, saying I seemed like a good fit. After waiting 3 more days, I emailed the hiring manager about the status. A week later, I called her secretary and left a message. She never responded! It's not cool to be ignored after spending half my day on this, especially since I missed out on the original job I applied for. I've never been treated so poorly!

After my phone interview, Videology invited me to an onsite interview in Baltimore, MD. My recruiter said it would be a maximum of one hour, but it actually took over 3 hours. I had two interview sessions with different interviewers, and overall it was a great experience. After some whiteboarding, the last interviewer mentioned that the boss wanted to see me, but since it was lunchtime, he invited me for lunch. So, that was the happy ending to my great day. I met with their boss. In this 30-40 minute meeting, he tried to make it clear that he doesn't care who I am or how I nailed the interview. He repeatedly said he's in no hurry and not desperate to hire anyone. Other than stories of his greatness, what he wants, and how he treats people, there wasn't anything else in the interview. Honestly, if you're not ready to hire, please respect others and don't waste their time.

We had a pre-interview event at a pub where I chatted with the interviewer. The next day was the actual interview, which was mostly behavioral. The questions focused on my resume and past experiences. It was nice because the interviewer was an alum, and they were friendly and helpful.

After a recruiter call about 3 weeks ago, I was invited for an on-site interview. The process involved 6 interviews, each lasting 30 minutes, and a shadowing session. The interviews were pretty relaxed, focusing on getting to know the candidates. Later that evening, we went out for drinks to see how we'd fit in socially. It was a good overall experience.
