First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Victoria's Secret.
Store Manager
I applied online and then got called in for an interview at the store with the area sales manager. We had a good chat about what the company expects and my past experience.
- Can you share details about your previous work experience?
- What specific experiences do you have that relate to this position?
- What are your expectations for this role in terms of company requirements?
Store Manager
The interview process started with a recruiter call, followed by a phone interview where the recruiter expressed skepticism about my suitability for the role. After a three-week silence, I reached out to the recruiter's assistant. Almost four weeks after the initial call, I was invited to interview with a District Manager. This interview deviated from a script, with the DM asking probing, random questions. The DM then mentioned I would have another interview with a different District Manager. A few days later, the recruiter informed me there were no openings in that district and I'd be interviewing with another DM. In the subsequent interview, the DM appeared disinterested from the start. I felt I could have performed better, but it seemed they weren't seriously considering me.
- Could you tell me about yourself?
- Can you describe your best day?
- Can you describe your worst day?
Assistant Store Manager
I was first reached out to by the recruiter after my resume got sent over. After that, I had a face-to-face meeting with the District Manager, which I thought went pretty well. Then, I had a phone interview with the Regional Manager and the HR manager. After that, it was just a waiting game, and it took about a month to get an offer. The recruiter was really helpful throughout the whole thing, keeping me updated and telling me to hang in there.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Have you ever had to let someone go before?
- How would you describe your relationship with your direct supervisor?
