First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Victoria's Secret.
Cashier
I went into the store and asked for an application. I brought it back the next day and one of the managers asked me some questions. A few days later, I called to talk to the hiring manager about my application. She wasn't there, so they said they'd let her know I called. She called me the next day and we did a short phone interview. She scheduled an in-person interview for the next day, which was supposed to be a group interview. I had to reschedule, so I ended up having a 1 on 1 interview, which is much better for me than a group one. It took them about a week and a half to let me know if I got the job.
- What contributions do you think you can make to our team?
- How do you handle being turned down, like when customers reject the offer to open angel cards?
- Can you share an instance where you took on tasks that were someone else's responsibility?
Cashier
The interview process was super simple! I filled out my application and turned it in, on the same day I received a call asking me to come in for an interview the next day. I came in for the interview and there were five of us being interviewed at the same time. The manager was incredibly nice and expressed her love for the company. She made us all feel comfortable answering her questions. It was my first job interview and it could not have been a better experience. I wouldn't worry about it too much. I had no prior work experience and received a call the day after my interview and they offered me the position. I would say looking through glassdoor helped me prepare a lot. Good luck to you all!

Cashier
I applied in person and gave them my application. They lost it, so I had to reapply and give it to the manager. The manager called me later and asked if I was still interested in the cashier position. She scheduled an interview for me. When I got there, I thought it would be a group interview, but it was just me and the assistant manager in the back. She asked me some basic questions and we talked about the company. She mentioned she'd call my references and then I'd have the job. She even said I could start training next week! She said they needed more cashiers and were ready to hire me. I was excited and left. My references were never called, even after I checked in weekly. I never heard back, and it's been a month. So unorganized and unprofessional. At least call to say I didn't get the job or don't tell me I can start training next week?
- What do you know about us?
- How will your experience help you in this role?
- What would you do if a customer was rude to you?
