First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Victoria's Secret.
Manager
The interview process was very professional and chic. The store manager was really nice and made me feel comfortable and confident. The interview focused on the brand, positive changes for the brand, and Victoria's Secret's future goals as a company. The manager also discussed customer service and selling behaviors that can help grow a strong team.

Assistant Manager
The application and interview process was pretty standard, with typical management-style questions about leadership and such. However, I was pretty let down by the lack of communication and feedback afterward. I ended up having to figure out on my own that I didn't get the job. During the one-on-one interview, they really emphasized how much the company values feedback and promised to be in touch within a week, no matter the outcome. It's been 12 days, and still nothing. I reached out to the area manager for feedback or an update, but got no response. A few hours later, the store called and left a voicemail. It seemed like the area manager had told them to contact me. The voicemail asked me to call back but mentioned she was leaving in 10 minutes and would be available the next day if needed. This made me feel like an afterthought, just squeezed in at the end of the day, leaving little time for a proper conversation or feedback. I called back within a minute, only to be told the person was unavailable and asked if I wanted to leave a message. I asked to be called back the next day, which also didn't happen. So, not only did I have to assume I wasn't successful, but I've received absolutely no feedback or further communication. They say they're a people-focused company? Doesn't seem like it. They basically cut ties with me as soon as they decided I wasn't a good fit.
- Tell me about some specific examples of your leadership abilities.
- Can you share an instance where you successfully led a team?
- How do you typically go about managing and directing a team?
Merchandising Manager
I was initially rejected for a position in one location but was promptly contacted about an opening in a different location. Each subsequent step took about a week to schedule due to difficulties in coordinating phone calls. During the in-person interview, the interviewer spent a significant amount of time criticizing my current employer and role, which I found very disrespectful and unnecessary. The discussion about the job itself was minimal, and the interview took place in an open area where other employees could easily overhear or interrupt.
