First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vicor Corp..
Manufacturing Engineer
I was asked to drive 15 hours during a pandemic with only 2 days notice for the interview, and was told expenses would be reimbursed. I got to the facility and interviewed with 7-10 people. They asked challenging questions about my experience and then described the team environment well. At the end, the HR employee told me the position was filled and sent me away, reconfirming reimbursement. I sent the expense form back but never heard anything, even with reminders. Five months later, I'm still not reimbursed.
- Can you tell us about your past experiences and how they would benefit our team?
Manufacturing Engineer
I had a phone chat with one of the engineers, and they asked about my background and past jobs. The questions were pretty general, mostly to get to know me better. I got to ask them some questions at the end to get a clearer picture of what I'd be doing. The engineer was really helpful and gave a good description of the tasks involved.
- Can you tell me about your responsibilities in your previous co-op role?
- What are your expectations for this co-op position?
Manufacturing Engineer
It was a pretty laid-back interview with two managers from the team. We talked about my past projects and background, and I got to ask them some questions. They even showed me around the facility at the end. The whole thing took about three hours.
- Could you tell me about any school projects you've worked on?
