Salesforce Consultant
This was a pretty long interview process with a few HR check-ins, then an interview with the Salesforce Professional Services leadership (Manager/Director), followed by a consulting practical interview and a technical practical interview. I got contacted on LinkedIn and the Talent Acquisition Partner, Maria, was great from the beginning. She was super flexible and personal, and you could tell she actually cared about the candidates. Talking to Dan and Mark, who are leaders in the Salesforce Professional Services area, made me even more interested in joining IC. Honestly, everyone I talked to during the process was genuine and really helpful. The consulting practical involved a scenario where I had to figure out requirements and then suggest a Salesforce solution. For the technical practical, I was given requirements and had to build a solution in Salesforce live during the interview. Both practical interviews were tough, but in a good way because it let me actually show what I can do instead of just talking about it. Overall, it was a really good interview process, and I could see they really live by their values of caring about their people.
- Can you explain three methods for making a field mandatory?
Salesforce Administrator/Business Analyst
I applied online and HR reached out for a brief introductory call the next day. About a week after that, I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager that lasted around an hour. It was pretty laid-back, and they seemed really focused on whether I thought it was a good fit for me, not just the other way around. This really showed me how much they value culture and individual happiness. Following that, a technical interview was set up where they screenshared business requirements and acted like clients. I had to walk through the requirements on the spot. Surprisingly, it wasn't stressful and felt like a real chance to show my skills. The Director of Talent was very engaged and genuinely wanted to make sure I had everything I needed to make the right choice about joining them.
- Can you describe your favorite projects you've completed in Salesforce and explain what was involved?
Business Analyst
My first interaction was with the recruiter. I anticipated a typical initial chat about the company, the role, and my background. However, the conversation quickly shifted from discussing my experience to assessing my Salesforce expertise, without giving me a chance to understand the role better. This felt like a waste of time for both of us. After about 15-20 minutes of Salesforce questions, I was then given the opportunity to inquire about the role's requirements. We soon realized it wasn't a good fit because I was seeking a full-time remote position, which they weren't offering.
- Can you share your proudest Salesforce architectural achievement?
- How can a field be made mandatory using different methods?
Salesforce Developer
I first got in touch with Internet Creations via LinkedIn. The hiring manager and I had a quick call to see if we were both interested. About a week later, the hiring manager called me for a phone screen that went for about an hour. We talked about some basic technical stuff and my education and work history. After that, they invited me for an in-person interview. This one was more technical, with a Senior Developer, the Development Director, and the Hiring Manager present. They all made an effort to keep things relaxed. A few days after the in-person interview, the Hiring Manager contacted me about an offer. I felt really at ease the whole time. In the first call and the phone screen, the Hiring Manager seemed genuinely interested in my background and gave me a lot of details about the job and the company, which made a good impression. I was most impressed by how enthusiastic and positive everyone was. It was also great that my questions were always answered promptly and thoroughly by the Hiring Manager, which really helped me decide to accept the offer. I'd say it was a really good interview experience.
