It was a three-stage process. Started with a recruiter chat, then a talk with the hiring manager, and finally a panel interview with my potential teammates. We did some whiteboard coding during that last part.

I went through 3 rounds of interviews: first a recruiter call, then an interview with the hiring manager, and finally an on-site interview with the team. The interviews weren't too tough, but I guess I wasn't quite what they were looking for.

Behavioral Technical

The process kicked off with a recruiter reaching out. The initial phone screens from both recruiting and the hiring manager felt really positive. Then came the onsite, where I met the leadership team, which was cool. But, the hiring manager didn't really give me the lowdown on what they needed or what was important. I also thought it was a bit weird that none of the people I'd potentially be managing were on the panel. They didn't ask much about my technical skills, problem-solving, or architecture experience regarding execution. Everyone I met was nice and welcoming, but I didn't really get a clear picture from leadership about the short-term and long-term goals and how they planned to achieve them.

The network engineer interview process usually has a few steps. First, they look at your resume. Then, there are technical tests and a few interviews with the hiring managers and the team. They want to see if you know about networking, can solve problems, have practical experience, and communicate well.
