I had an interview with the CEO. It was a 1-on-1 meeting in the office, and the environment was very relaxed. We had a long conversation about my personal abilities. It wasn't a monologue; it felt like a way for them to get to know me as a job seeker. They gave me direct feedback and personal thoughts during the interview, which was one of the best experiences. I believe this led to an offer.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The hiring process was quite drawn out, spanning nearly four months. Although the role was predominantly technical, the interviewers seemed more focused on assessing sales and communication abilities, likely due to challenges in effectively presenting IT solutions internally. Many standard interview questions were asked, covering motivation and reasons for interest in the position. Overall, the experience was positive, and they indicated a desire for an on-site interview. Regrettably, after investing significant time and effort, I never received any formal notification of rejection, which I found unprofessional.

Had a phone interview with HR. It was a pretty standard interview, but the HR person got really pushy about salary. I wanted to see if I'd be a good cultural fit, but they scoffed when I said my current salary wasn't accurate to my experience. Their unprofessional attitude about a negotiable thing like pay was a turn-off. I'd suggest people focus on company fit first and look into why the company has retention problems at that location.
