QA Engineer
I had a great experience with Viber's hiring process. Communication was clear and respectful from the start. Every step, from the first screening to the technical interview, was well organized. The Talent Acquisition team, especially Yael Elgarat, was professional and kind. They understood my background, explained things well, and made me feel welcome. I also liked the human side of it, the chats were real, and it felt like they wanted the right fit, not just to fill a spot. The interviewers were friendly, and the questions were practical for the job.
- Can you describe a challenge you faced in a past role and how you handled it?
Data Scientist
The hiring process kicked off with a recruiter call, followed by an online assessment, a series of onsite interviews, and concluded with a final chat with HR. Everyone I met throughout the process was great to talk to – really professional, respectful, and just nice people. What was especially noteworthy was how they handled the online test. Even though the platform they used was pretty new and had some glitches that I think impacted how I did, they took a really fair and considerate approach and still moved me forward. It’s not often you see that kind of thoughtfulness, and it made a great impression. Honestly, it was one of the most respectful and fair interview processes I’ve been through, and I really appreciated their approach.

Software Team Lead
I interviewed for a role in Israel and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The technical interview was on Zoom and went for about an hour and a half. They switched the language to English mid-interview without telling me first, saying they work with international teams. I went along with it, but even though I use English a lot for work, my native language is Hebrew, and explaining technical stuff is different from interviewing in it. It felt like they could have planned that better. They were nice enough, but I wasn't blown away by their approach. A heads-up would have made it way more professional. Also, getting a rejection after a phone screen and a long technical interview is just not cool.

Interviews can really differ depending on the industry, company, and the specific job, but there are some usual parts and advice to help you get ready and do well. Here's a look at a normal interview experience: Check out the Company: Get to know its products, services, vibe, and what's new with them. This shows you're really interested and helps you adjust your answers. Get the Role: Look over the job details and what skills they need. Be set to talk about how your background and skills fit what they're looking for. Prep Your Resume: Make sure your resume is current and shows off your relevant experience. Be ready to talk about anything on it. Practice Usual Questions: Be ready for stuff like 'Tell me about yourself,' 'Why do you want this job?' and 'What are your good and bad points?'.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What's your motivation for wanting to work here?
- Could you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
