The interviewers were really nice and made me feel comfortable. They mostly asked about my competencies and some personal questions about the tools I use, past training, and qualifications. I didn't get the job because they needed someone with more specific experience, but the hiring managers and recruitment team were great and helpful.

After I sent in my application, a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner reached out to me for a 30 minute initial phone chat. They asked what I knew about Viasat, why I was interested in the role, and what would make me a good fit. Then, I had a video call interview with the Hiring Manager and a team member. It was a good interview, and I felt positive about it. They asked a good variety of questions and gave helpful, honest answers to my questions. They kept me updated and were helpful throughout the whole process.

So I had 6 interviews with Viasat and thought things were going well. The last thing I heard was, “we have positive feedback and would like to move forward.” Then the hiring manager said, “I look forward working with you” and we started talking salary and benefits. After the Christmas holidays, I asked for an update in January. They replied, "We appreciate your patience through this long process. At this time, we have made the decision to go with another candidate for the role."
