First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Viant.
Intern
The interview started with some easy behavioural questions. They wanted to know about me and why I'm interested in this role. I was also asked about handling complex problems and dealing with ambiguity.
- How do you approach a complicated project and manage your time effectively?
Software Engineer
First, there was a recruiter call. Then, a leetcode-style interview. The interviewer, who was a manager, didn't seem interested. Even though I solved the whole problem, there was no response afterward. It left a really bad impression.
- A string matching question.
Supply Chain Intern
It was pretty easy. You should know your resume well because they ask for clarification on your day-to-day activities and what the company does. The actual questions weren't too hard from what I recall. I haven't received an offer yet, but the interview was recent.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your understanding of our company?
Lead Maintenance Technician
So first, I had this phone chat with the HR manager at the Laconia place, and it felt like it went pretty well. After that, I went to the Laconia location for an in-person interview. The HR manager, the Production Manager, and the Director of Operations were all there. That one also seemed to go well overall.
- Can you tell me about how you manage staff?
- How do you approach problem-solving?
- How flexible are you when it comes to working with unfamiliar products?
