They asked some questions about my licensing and education. It wasn't really about getting to know me as a person or what I was looking for. The focus was on me, but a lot of it felt like they were just trying to fill the role rather than see if I was a good fit.

It's a pretty standard customer service interview, though they really like candidates with some kind of animal care background. You definitely need to be good at reading and writing because a lot of the paperwork is legal. They'll test how you handle pressure by asking tough questions about dealing with clients. Even though it might feel like a cozy clinic, especially for specific locations, you have to follow the main company's rules, which can be confusing if you're used to private practice.

  • What's your approach when a client expresses dissatisfaction with the services they received or the cost?
  • Imagine a client brings in a sick pet for same-day service. After gathering information, it appears the situation isn't critical. The client gets upset when you inform them that your earliest opening isn't within their preferred timeframe. How do you de-escalate their frustration?

It was a pretty smooth process. The interviewer was very kind and attending, and willing to accommodate my schedule. They gave a great introduction on the company's benefits, and clearly explained the company values and vision. It was informative, very welcoming, and they were great at addressing my concerns. Expectations were clearly defined. They were interested in my experience and looking to work out a mutually beneficial solution.
