I had a 30 min chat with a HR Recruiter, super informal. Then, a week later, I had a panel interview with two department managers, also short and informal. Got the offer in 2 days.

The initial application process was very straightforward. I usually heard back from VU within a day of finishing each step. I had two interviews: one on the phone, and one in person. These interviews gave me a real sense of the people at VU, and I was impressed. Both interviews were pretty laid-back, and the HR people did a great job of keeping me informed and answering all my questions. They didn't give me any canned responses and were upfront about challenging questions. First impressions are important, and I'm really hopeful about my future with VU, largely because of Kellie F. and Larissa W.!

The application process was straightforward, and I could track my application status via Jobvite. The initial phone interview lasted about 20-30 minutes and was somewhat challenging. I had an in-person interview scheduled a week later. The atmosphere was casual, and the questions were great, requiring me to provide examples and be confident. Even though it was relaxed, dressing professionally is important. The HR representative was very polite. I received a reasonable offer a few days after the interview. Unfortunately, due to some personal circumstances that arose between the interview and offer, I couldn't accept it at that time. HR was very understanding and even offered support. I hope to have the opportunity to work with them in the future. It was a great overall experience.
