Had a couple of phone calls, then 2-3 Zoom calls with senior leadership. Everyone was really friendly and asked good questions. It was a nice experience and I got a good sense of the people there. No cross-functional interviews, which I thought would have been helpful.

I applied for the job and got an email a few days later to schedule a phone call with the recruiter. The recruiter mentioned she'd update me on the next steps, but never did and just ended the process. I think that's bad practice and hurts their employer brand.

First, I had a phone interview where they asked basic questions like if I'm comfortable with all kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, and birds. They also asked if I'm okay with doing all the cleaning, like sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, laundry, dishes, and vacuuming. They wanted to know if I have reliable transportation, if I can lift 50 lbs, and if I have experience giving medication like oral, transdermal, and injections. After that, they scheduled an in-person interview. We did a tour, and then had the actual interview. The whole in-person part took over an hour.

I had a conversational and pleasant interview where we talked about my employment history, skills, client interactions, and interests. They also gave me a lot of information about other Vetcor practices and reference details. It was a way for them to decide if they wanted to move forward. I also called some references and they gave good reports.
