First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vesta.
Intern
I completed a set of projects involving marketing and sales where I had to analyze data and send it back in. I had two phone calls before they got back to me a couple weeks later with an offer and details.
- Analyze data and handle a few sales force projects.
Business Development
I interviewed with the CEO first, then the CFO, and then the Marketing Director and Account Manager. The CFO was pretty demanding, expecting me to drop everything and be available at her whim, and she even messed up the meeting times twice.
- You're expected to study their 45-slide presentation and present it back to them in a few days, even though you're currently employed full-time.
- Most companies ask you to present your own work, not a lengthy company presentation you haven't had time to learn yet.
Sales
SML's interview process seems to involve gathering ideas from candidates and then abruptly ending the process without hiring anyone. Multiple people at SML expressed strong interest, and after candidates shared insights on departmental changes and new strategies, SML would cancel follow-up interviews and become unresponsive to communication. This happened even when SML wasn't hiring someone else, suggesting the interviews were primarily for idea generation.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Client Success Manager
The interview process was pretty chill. First, I had a phone screen. Then, I came in for an onsite interview where I met with four people. After that, about two weeks later, I met with three more people.
