The hiring process was quick and smooth! HR was great with communication, always keeping me in the loop about what was next. The interviews were good; the questions weren't too tough and kept things engaging and informative, with some personal questions mixed in.

Case Behavioral Technical

The interview process was really long, with 4 interview rounds and a case study. The case study seemed designed to test basic accounting/finance knowledge with a large dataset, rather than having a single right answer. There wasn't much clear communication about next steps, leaving me unsure about my status. I had to follow up multiple times about my candidacy. When I was told I didn't get the position, I received an impersonal automated email, even though the HR coordinator had been in touch personally from the start.

The recruiter screen was fine. The interview with the hiring manager was weird. He positioned his camera so I could only see the top half of his face. He's a VP, so he should know how to do a virtual interview by now. He was really into himself and kept calling himself a "slide b-word" because he was working on a deck, and swore once or twice. I know he was trying to be self-deprecating and funny, but it was inappropriate and socially awkward, especially since it was at the start and we hadn't built any rapport. He also let the interview run about 20 minutes over without mentioning my time. It just didn't give me a good impression of the company or how the team operates. It felt gross. I was asked to continue but withdrew my application after that.

The first interview went really well, I spoke with the direct manager and I felt like I was a great fit. But, the second interview was a terrible experience. The SVP was condescending and aggressive during the entire interview, asking a lot of negative, 'gotcha' questions. They also went through my resume and criticized my experience. I wouldn't have accepted an offer even if they had made one. It's a waste of time and bad PR to interview candidates you already dislike.
