I started with two assessments, one for personality and another for cognitive ability (similar to the Wonderlic). Then, I had a 15-minute Skype call with a recruiter where I retook the cognitive ability test to confirm my identity. This was followed by a brief phone interview with the recruiter covering standard questions. Finally, I had an hour-long onsite interview with the dev lead and a senior developer.

The hiring journey was pretty standard. First, there was a phone interview with HR to check if I fit the basic requirements. Then, I had a phone interview with the QA manager, where we talked more about what the company is looking for and my interests. I really connected with the manager, and we moved on to an onsite interview. The onsite part lasted 3 hours, with two interviewers each hour. They asked about different testing areas and also some coding questions. The whole experience was professional and friendly, and I left feeling enthusiastic about the company.

Submitted application in late May, and within 24 hours, got an online personality/aptitude test (likely Wonderlic). Heard nothing for three weeks until a recruiter reached out on LinkedIn about a QA role. Explained I'd already applied and tested. Less than 48 hours later, I had a video interview with the recruiter, which involved the same test again and a chat about the company/team. The next day, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager, a positive conversation focusing on qualifications and cultural fit. The manager mentioned the recruiter would call to schedule an in-person interview, which happened about a week later. I received an offer from another company before the in-person, so I didn't proceed with Vertafore. I felt the process was too slow, possibly due to my application getting lost initially.
