Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online through LinkedIn and was first invited to a short HR screening to discuss my background, motivation, and availability. After passing this round, I joined a team interview where I had the chance to speak with several colleagues from the department. The next stage involved completing a practical assignment focused on building and analyzing a dashboard, which allowed me to demonstrate my technical and analytical skills. Finally, I had a one-on-one interview with the manager to discuss my approach to the assignment, my working style, and how I could contribute to the team.

It was easy and quick. I interviewed with my two managers and they mostly asked behavioral questions. These questions could be about your previous experience or projects to showcase who you are. I wouldn't stress too much about it, but definitely prepare by reviewing your resume and be ready to demonstrate a certain level of familiarity with the category.

So, I had this interview, right? And it was kinda messy from the start. First, I got an invite, but then there were issues with signing up, and to top it off, they invited me for the wrong job! To make things worse, the recruiter I was supposed to talk to was on vacation, but their system didn't show it, so I booked my interview thinking they'd be there. I waited like 30 mins, then realized they weren't coming. I emailed them, and they rescheduled for after they got back. The first interview went fine though, and they wanted me for a second one with two managers. But guess what? One manager didn't even show up. The other one was at home, and their dog was barking non-stop during the whole thing. The interviewer seemed kinda distracted and amused, like, couldn't really focus on our chat. They even said their dog never acts like that. Honestly, the whole thing felt super disorganized and not very professional, making it hard to have a real conversation.

Had a nice, informal chat with the recruiter to go over my skills and experience. Then, I was invited to a second interview with two HR leaders. It was another nice, informal conversation, but this time it was more structured around the key competencies they need for the role. After that, I was invited back for a final interview with the overall HR leader, but they only gave me two days' notice, which I couldn't make. I asked for alternative dates. Then, it was radio silence for a week, and I got an email saying they'd found someone else. I asked the recruiter for feedback twice, but still no response. It was a really poor experience after the second interview.
