First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Verisign.
Technical Intern
I had 4 interviews total. I got selected at the career fair on my campus. The first interview was at the career fair, and it was just about my resume and past experiences. The second interview was two days later, also in person. Two people interviewed me, and they asked technical questions like 'How can you optimize performance?' and 'What are REST APIs?', plus more questions about my resume and experience. The third round was online via Webex. It was a panel interview with 5 interviewers, and it was mostly behavioral questions with 2-3 technical resume questions. They asked about Google Firebase from my resume and one or two other resume questions, but the main focus was behavioral. The last round was also a panel interview, this time with 3 people, and it was entirely technical. They started with technical questions about Springboot and then gave me an easy-medium LeetCode problem.
- Given an array and an element, find the index of the element in the array.
Intern
The interview process started with an online test that had four parts: general aptitude, technical aptitude, testing (which had only 5 questions), and a coding challenge. The coding part was the most difficult, and everyone received a different question. The second and final round was a technical interview where the interviewer asked questions about various programming languages, tested my fundamental knowledge, and presented some puzzles for me to solve. A significant number of the technical questions were focused on JAVA.
- Coding question from the first round, which is different for every candidate.
Technical Intern
I got an email from campus recruiting about an in-person interview on campus. It was about an hour long and mostly technical questions with a bit of behavioral too.
- How would you approach deleting an element from a linked list?
