Software Engineer
I had a recruiter screening, then an HR call, and the final round was with the project manager. It wasn't like Leetcode, but more like 10 or 11 technical system design questions. They also asked a lot about my projects and previous experiences, so definitely be ready to talk about those.
- Can you explain what a React DOM is?
Software Engineer
HR reached out and set up an interview really fast. The first part was technical, covering Spring boot, the hashcode contract for equals, how hashmap functions, how to build your own hashmap, and why REST API is better than SOAP or GraphQL. The second round covered similar technical points but emphasized my previous work experience and included a system design question for Instagram, plus some easy questions.
- How does REST API scalability work?
- Can you detail the Instagram get reels API?
- What are the risks and prevention methods for SQL injection?
Software Engineer
First, an HR Call for initial screening. Then, a personal interview with the hiring manager, touching on project details. Next, a technical interview with a tech lead, where I could use my preferred language. Finally, an interview with the software engineering director, involving personal questions and a system design problem.
- Can you write a function to reverse a string?
- How would you create a function to check if a string is a palindrome?
- Please demonstrate creating a closure function in JavaScript.
