It went pretty smoothly. Both the recruiter and the hiring manager were super approachable and made it feel really comfortable. The recruiter chat was pretty standard, covering the usual stuff and going over my resume. Then the HM chat dug into my motivation for moving into an SDR position and my understanding of Vercel.

So, I initially talked to the recruiter, then had a phone screen. After that, I met with my potential manager in the US. Then I met with the in-country manager, followed by a values chat with a US-based AE. They also gave me a presentation exercise that took about two days to prep, plus some extra assignments like researching prospects and creating messaging, which felt like unpaid work. After all that, I did the final panel presentation and interview. I didn't hear anything for over a week and a half, even though they knew I had other offers I was holding off on. I had to chase them for updates. After almost two weeks, they told me no offer, and I had to ask for feedback. They said it wasn't about my skills or interviews, but they picked someone else based on some extra criteria not in the job description, like a background in software development/engineering, which they never mentioned. This put me at a disadvantage because I couldn't tailor my approach. It felt unfair and biased, and the delays made the whole process seem really opaque and inequitable. If they had just been upfront about preferring candidates with dev/eng experience, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Overall, it felt like an inefficient use of my time due to the lack of transparency, unfair decision criteria, and communication delays, which caused unnecessary stress.

The interview process here is awful and I'd avoid it if you're looking for a stable career. After 5+ stages, I had to keep chasing people for updates on meeting times, feedback, and general info. It's clear there's zero structure. Don't be fooled by the fancy website; it's all a show. Despite multiple interview meetings, role plays, and presentations, I was left ghosted with no feedback. You'd think a 'growing company' would have the guts to send a quick email saying I wasn't selected. Communication is terrible, and I'm really disappointed.
