I had an in-person SQL interview, and then they took me out to MA for the offer. The SQL interview was pretty basic, focusing on joins. One question required handling nulls. The interviewer was friendly, and it felt like a low-stress situation.

Since I'm an international applicant, my interviews were all done over Zoom. First, there was a Zoom call with the Global Talent Acquisition Leader to go over my background and the job I applied for. Then, I had a Zoom video meeting with the managers of the team for the role. Also, the Senior HR person in my area got in touch and was super helpful with any questions I had during the whole thing. All the way through, Veracross was mindful of the time differences that impacted me and made the interviews a comfortable and supportive experience.

I had an initial chat with the Global HR Team where I learned more about the company and the job, and also introduced myself and my background. Next, I spoke with the hiring manager in a casual setting. They asked about my past experiences, how I'd handle certain situations, what they're looking for in a candidate, and my own expectations for the role. The final interview had two parts. First, I met with Senior Product Team members for a more formal session with structured questions about my skills and experience. Then, I talked with members of the Development Team about my work style and experience in product development. Overall, everyone at Veracross was really nice, and I had a good experience with the interviews.

The initial call to set up the interview went smoothly. The recruiter I spoke with was pleasant, and I felt the conversation was productive. Although I was given a timeline for the next steps, I had to follow up. Eventually, I received a generic rejection email without any explanation. I asked for feedback but received no response, which was quite disappointing and felt impersonal.
