I got an email from HR on March 29 asking for my availability the next week for a phone interview. I replied quickly, but then didn't hear back until April 17, when they said my email got lost. We had the phone interview on April 18. The recruiter was great, really selling the company, and after about an hour, she said I'd be moving on to a video interview with two program staff. She also mentioned there would be at least two more interviews after that, plus a take-home data analysis assignment that I'd have to present. I'm hesitant about doing unpaid work, especially since I have a PhD and publications in this field, and I'm not willing to put in that much effort if they're going to ghost me again. If they don't trust my abilities based on my record, they can find someone else.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process began with a phone interview where I was asked a few questions about my background. Following that, I was invited for an in-person interview that lasted for five hours. During this time, I met with five different interviewers, some in group settings and others individually. Many of the same fundamental interview questions were asked by different people. The supervisor I interviewed with contacted my current employer for a reference check without prior notification, which was a bit awkward. Additionally, they insisted that I start and relocate within two weeks, even though there wasn't an immediate requirement for me to begin.

The hiring process started with a phone screen, then a take-home research activity. After that, there was an all-day interview with multiple staff members. A background check was also part of it. The hiring was quick but intense. I'd suggest making it more streamlined for future candidates.
