Complete waste of time. The first interview was a 30 minute phone screening. It seemed to go okay, the recruiter was nice enough, but the conversation left me feeling… not great. I was given a potential start date and salary, but she also really stressed the drinking culture at Venturi and the long hours (8am-7/8pm?). I get that sales/recruitment requires a competitive drive, but it felt like they wanted someone willing to walk over others for financial gain. Still, I was willing to try for the second round. The recruiter had me write several paragraphs about why I'd succeed at Venturi before the next interview, and then… I couldn't reach her. My calls went to a silent line when I answered, and calling back directed me to the NYC office who knew nothing about me or my reason for calling (since the recruiter was UK based) and didn't seem to care, as they hadn't mentioned it to her. I finally got through 20 minutes later - turns out she only tried calling once and got busy - and we had to reschedule. We rescheduled for the next day, but when I answered, she said we had to reschedule *again* because the NYC office hadn't coordinated in-person meeting times with her yet, and this call was supposed to set up that meeting. We rescheduled once more. I should have stopped then, but anyway. The third rescheduled call came, and she again said we had to reschedule because of something unrelated. Trying to contact her afterward was useless, and she ignored my messages trying to confirm a new time. This took up about 2 weeks of my time. Seriously avoid Venturi. They and their sister companies seem predatory and clueless. I find it hard to believe all the positive reviews are real.

The interview process involved a first stage phone call, followed by a second stage onsite presentation. It wasn't super hard, but definitely not easy either. The people were nice enough, though they seemed a little fake and overly enthusiastic.

Behavioral Presentation

The whole interview process went by really fast, only taking a couple of weeks and it felt super smooth and professional. It started with a quick, casual phone chat, and then I was invited to interview at their Wilmslow Office. Right away, I noticed how friendly and welcoming everyone was. The interview itself was about an hour long. First, I had a relaxed chat with Priya about my interest in recruitment and specifically Venturi. After that, Jamie and a colleague interviewed me with more typical interview questions. It was all very friendly and professional. Later that same day, they asked me to come back in a few days to give a 10-minute presentation on why I'd be a great recruiter. Following the presentation, there were some questions, and then I got to chat with some of the newer team members on the office floor to get a sense of the company culture. Pretty soon after that, I was brought back for a few final questions, and then they offered me the job! From the very beginning to the end, the process was well-structured, professional, and really clear about what the role involved, which is why I was so eager to accept.
