A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn for a phone interview and sent a scheduling link. I confirmed via the link and a LinkedIn message. The recruiter no-showed on the confirmed day without any notice. Three days later, I got a call from the recruiter saying he was sick and apologized. I understood and we rescheduled. The interview was straightforward, but the recruiter was disengaged, leaving long pauses and seeming distracted. Despite this, he said I'd move to the next step with the hiring manager and that someone would be in touch. Three weeks passed with no word on my status, so I reached out for an update on LinkedIn but received no response.

It was a pretty straightforward process. Just one interview, actually. The interviewer asked some very direct questions, and I got to ask her a few at the end. It felt more like a chat to see if we were on the same page regarding Business Analyst approaches. All in all, I thought it was a good interview.

I had a quick coffee chat with the head of sales where we talked about the job, the market, and the product. They also asked about my salary expectations and when I could start, which seemed like a good sign. A week later, I had a 90-minute interview with that same sales leader and a director I'd be working with closely. We chatted about my background and how I handle business development, building relationships, and managing accounts. They also asked some pretty specific questions about the product, which I think was to see if I understood its value, not just if I'd researched it.

We began by looking over your resume and previous work history. Then, it moved into a more casual chat where we discussed some scenario-based questions. This conversational style interview was good for both of us to see if it was a good fit.
