I had to do two tests which took some time to do. Even after that I contacted the HR team and put a lot of effort into the application process, they didn't even bother to reply. I will certainly not be spending that much time on application with this company again. I have since learnt that they don't really look for experience rather more if you fit into their own culture, which is a shame as they can definitely be at the forefront at what they are doing. A note to the HR team, take time to take part in these long-winded assessments, take the time to reply to people, it shows your company culture.

Started with a bunch of assessments for the initial application. Then, there was an online group assessment which wasn't really a group interview, more of an intro to the company with about 50 other applicants on camera. After that, we had to do another round of really long assessments, followed by a one-minute video about ourselves. These assessments included some from the first application and also tasks testing how quickly you can search for information and plan something, like planning a trip to Japan for a client. The final interview was with two people from Velocity Black in different departments (this wasn't mentioned in the invite email). Each interview lasted about 20 minutes, and they didn't seem very interested and didn't give a timeline for getting back. I had to follow up three weeks later for a reply. It felt like all those assessments were just data mining to see how they evaluate people. They were quite unprofessional in managing applicant expectations and timing, especially considering the time commitment required for each stage.

So after I passed this online assessment, I had this 2-3 hour info session. It was pretty long but it was really good, told me a lot about the job. They had me do some tests to see how smart I am, like the minicog and rapid info assessment. Then I had to do these travel proposals and a personality test. The hardest part was the MRAB 2-Back test, which was pretty wild.

It was a long interview process, with more than 6 interviews happening over 7 weeks. The interviewers were all really friendly and made me feel comfortable, not intimidated at all. This made the process way more enjoyable. Everyone was super kind and really interesting to chat with.
