Data Engineer
The interview process here isn't really set in stone. Sometimes you get a take-home task where you have to build an ELT pipeline with Snowflake and Python, but other times it's just a technical interview. It can be kinda hard to tell if someone's got the chops just from that.
- How would you architect an ELT solution?
- Can you present your ELT architecture?
- What questions do you have about the ELT solution?
Account Director
So after getting shortlisted, there were four interviews, each about 30 mins. I talked to the recruiter, the hiring manager, the head of people ops, and the head of the growth team. The interviews were pretty open and just flowed naturally.
- Can you share your experience and philosophies regarding client services?
Recruiter
It was a really great and transparent process. They asked some really in-depth questions. I got to meet with the COO and CTO, which gave me a good feel for the leadership team. They really emphasized how much they value culture, collaboration, and communication within the company.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What made you interested in Velir?
- Could you describe your overall recruitment experience?
Project Manager
The interview process began with a recruiter call and a subsequent phone interview. This was followed by an in-person interview at their offices, which was a group setting with a few people from the department I was applying to. There were usually one or two senior people and maybe a department lead or director. The interviews focused on general skills for the role and lasted about an hour with a conversational tone. They wanted to hear about past experiences relevant to Velir. I got an offer that same evening and accepted.
- Can you tell me about any software-related media, like blogs, podcasts, or industry magazines, that you're currently following?
