Copywriter
The interview process with Vega was amazing right from the start. Their HR team is top-notch, perfectly reflecting the caliber of people they hire. The team's attentiveness and enthusiasm throughout were truly remarkable. The process followed a standard format: initial chats with HR, the hiring manager, other key team members, and then a meeting with the broader team. This approach provides a deep understanding of potential colleagues and the role's expectations. While I've rated the difficulty as 'average,' it's crucial to have a detailed grasp of your own strengths, skills, and how they align with the job requirements.
- Can you share your personal motto?
- In your experience, how do you manage changing priorities and tight deadlines?
- What's your ideal working style, such as balancing collaboration with individual focus?
Software Engineer
So I applied for a Software Engineer role at Vega, and a recruiter called me up for a quick chat about my background and interest in the company. Then, I had an online technical interview where I had to solve some coding problems and talk about algorithms using a shared platform, which was pretty tough but I did okay. After that, they gave me a take-home project to see my coding style and how I solve problems, which I had a few days for and felt good about. The next part was the virtual onsite, which had several parts: a coding challenge, a system design chat, and a behavioral interview where I discussed teamwork, conflict resolution, and challenges, also checking if I fit Vega's culture. Lastly, I chatted with a senior manager about my career goals and how I could contribute. It was a demanding but good experience, and I'm waiting to hear back.
- Could you discuss Object-Oriented Programming principles?
- What are your thoughts on Design Patterns?
- How would you approach SQL queries?
