Marketing Manager
A recruiter from Veeva reached out, thinking I'd be a good fit for the Marketing Manager role, which seemed accurate given the job description and my experience. We set up an initial interview, which was nice and led to an interview with Veeva Management. This second interview felt okay, but definitely not as good as the first one. I didn't really click with the manager who interviewed me, who would have been my boss. She didn't seem much more experienced than me and appeared to have only quickly looked at my resume, not really seeming interested in hiring me. So, it felt like a waste of my time. As expected, I didn't get invited for further interviews, which was probably the right call. I was surprised they even invited me to a second interview without being properly prepared. On top of that, the rejection came via an automated email that went to my spam folder. The reason they gave for rejecting me was also a bit strange. I mentioned this to their recruiter to help prevent similar issues for future candidates, but never heard back. Overall, I felt the whole thing was handled poorly and my time wasn't valued. The whole process was done online.

Field Marketing Manager
It was a really chaotic and unprofessional interview experience. I should've seen the red flags earlier, but because of Covid, I was focused on getting a remote job with a stable company. The process took about 6 weeks, and I got a verbal offer with all the details. But then they ghosted me for a month and a half. I had to reach out to the hiring manager's boss to get a response, which was basically that they received more applications due to Covid and were interviewing others again. So, when they say you have the job, you don't. The biggest red flag was contacting my references without my permission, apparently to find dirt and potentially ruin my relationships with them. I guess I dodged a bullet with Veeva in the end, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Field Marketing Manager
It was a 3-step process. First, there was a cultural interview. Then, I was given a written assignment to create an integrated marketing campaign with 3 other deliverables using PowerPoint. Finally, I had an oral presentation that lasted 15 to 20 minutes. All the interviews were done online via Zoom or Teams.
- What management style do you prefer to work with?
