This was for the MDA role in the Analytics Development Program. It was a really long process. Started with an HR screening via zoom, then there was a logic test on Excel and SQL. After that, two 45-minute zoom interviews happened, one to check job skills with a case study and another for background. Then, a group case study interview. The final step was a 2-hour in-person meeting with the program leaders to assess job skills and fit. Honestly, none of the interviews themselves were super hard, but it was just a lot of steps.

Behavioral Technical Case Group

The first step was a call with HR to talk about why I was interested in the company and to make sure I understood the job description. It went well and I was told I would move on. After that, I got an Excel logic test that was due in 48 hours, focusing on number problems. The second phase had three parts: a behavioral interview, an individual case study (using Excel or SQL), and a group case study. The behavioral part wasn't typical STAR questions; they asked about how I make big life choices, so be ready to talk about why you picked your path, like your major or college, and what alternatives you considered. The individual case study was pretty relaxed, just testing data wrangling, logic, organization, and table joining. The group case study involved figuring out how to split a marketing budget and showed how you interact in a group. The final stage was in person with two leaders. One did a unique behavioral interview, asking very reflective life questions. The other was a bit more technical but mainly focused on why I wanted to work at Veeva and if it aligned with my personal values and goals. The behavioral interviewer asked some personal questions, so it's important to build rapport. Overall, it was a really positive experience, and I liked the people, even though the process was long. I ended up declining because the offer stage took a while and I got another offer.

Coding Case Group Behavioral Technical

This was a really tedious and time-consuming process for just one company. It started with an easy HR call. Then, I had a logic assessment, which was also straightforward. The second round was more intense, involving three interviews: a behavioral one about my past experiences, an individual case study with provided data, and a group case study focused on budget presentation. I didn't have a great experience with these. The group case study itself was okay with the participants, but it was tough to stand out when others were dominating the conversation and tasks. The behavioral interview felt off; the interviewer didn't seem interested in my resume and asked questions that weren't behavioral and I wasn't prepared for. The individual case study had confusing instructions and insufficient time, and I wish they'd provided the data files beforehand instead of making me control them remotely on Zoom. The interviewer also seemed annoyed when I asked for clarification, hesitant to explain further, as if I shouldn't be asking for hints. I really liked the company until this stage, as these interactions made me question if these were the right people to work with. The final round was supposed to be with the hiring managers.
