Veeam Software Channel Partner Manager Interview Questions

A Veeam recruiter reached out about a Channel team role. I was excited and spoke with the recruiter and two team members by phone. I was told a final interview with the Director was needed, but had to wait for them to return from vacation. After a week, I followed up and was told scheduling would take a couple days. Two days later, I got a call saying the role went to someone else. Research suggested I was a 'due diligence' candidate, and they likely had someone else in mind. I'm sharing this so others can ask if an internal candidate is already chosen and avoid wasting time.

Got into the interview process via a friend's referral, then applied on the website. About a week later, HR called to set up a chat. All interviews were over the phone or video. The interview sequence was: HR first, then a peer, then the hiring manager, and finally the VP. There was no panel interview.

I got my resume to the hiring manager via my network, and then HR reached out. The HR interview was about 40 minutes with standard questions. The HR person asked if I knew 3 specific accounts, and when I said no, they said that was a requirement. We could have saved time if they asked that earlier, but it was professional.
