First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at VectorUSA.
Communication Technician
Had a conference call with managers in the related field. It was casual and to the point. They asked about my past work and experience in the field. Also asked about specific products and certifications. During the panel interview, they asked about my desired pay grade and when I could start working. I received an offer via email that matched my demands. There was one day for orientation and company review.
- How do you handle problems?
- Can you describe your previous experience and work in this area?
- Which specific products and certifications do you have?
Program Coordinator
I got contacted by a recruiter about a week after applying. We had a quick phone chat, and then my resume went to the hiring manager. The recruiter called again to set up an in-person meeting with the hiring manager and an HR manager. The IT Director, who is the hiring manager's boss, also joined us, which was unexpected but cool. The interview felt super professional and had a good vibe. There were some questions I totally saw coming and some that were a bit out there but pretty smart. It was supposed to be an hour, and it went by fast.
- Can you explain how you would persuade a customer on the advantages of using a service management tool for tracking issues, especially if they think it would slow down their service?
- In your previous roles, how did you prioritize when faced with multiple urgent customer requests simultaneously?
IT Systems Administrator
The interview lasted about 1.5 hours. It involved technical questions, but the actual work is what matters. The interview seemed to go well. I spoke with two people, though one left about 30 minutes in.
- Can you explain what AD is and how familiar you are with PowerShell?
- Tell me about your understanding of Active Directory and your proficiency with PowerShell.
Property Control Technician
It was fast and easy for me. Everyone was intrigued by my demeanor and the way I communicated. There were 3 interviewers, they gave me the rundown on all the tasks and equipment had to be handled. Overall, great process
- In one year, where do you envision yourself working with this company?
