It was a pretty standard interview process with typical questions. Nothing too tricky. When answering, focus on demonstrating how you'd grow in your career and commit to the company long-term. Make sure your answers highlight your clinical expertise and attention to detail. They seemed really interested in whether candidates are comfortable with technology.

This interview process was a complete waste of time, with 4 interviews when it could have been 3. The final interview was a panel where I had to locate buttons in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. The role was posted for $80-90k but they expected me to be a data scientist, data analyst, business analyst, and clinical analyst. I told the recruiter and hiring manager that the pay was too low for the responsibilities. After 4 interviews, I got a generic rejection email with no feedback. A week later, the recruiter contacted me about another opening with the same title and team, admitting the other candidate backed out. I confirmed no more interviews were needed and stated I'd only consider an offer. They sent an offer for $85k, significantly lower than other opportunities around $110k. I asked for 3 business days to consider, and the next day they rescinded the offer because they wanted someone more aligned on salary. I advise staying away from this company.

The initial interview was horrible. They started by asking about salary expectations. Then they criticized me and questioned why I left each previous job, why I moved states, and why I had a two-month gap in my resume. It was ridiculous. I mentioned I had another job offer but wanted to proceed with Vatica Health because I was very interested in the role. They then advised me not to tell the hiring managers about the other offer, as they would likely reject my application. They also said they probably wouldn't like my job-hopping history and would just send a generic rejection email. Vatica Health seems to forget that candidates are interviewing them too. It felt like they just wanted a warm body to fill a role without much flexibility. The interview was very impersonal and cold, a truly horrible experience. They really don't value their candidates. They didn't ask typical 'tell me about a time' questions; it was more of a statement of requirements with no room for discussion.

They had this 1 hour skills test and then 3 interviews spread over weeks, which was totally unnecessary and a waste of time. They should have just done a panel interview if they needed to interview three different people. I wouldn't recommend this company based on the reviews; they don't pay well and take advantage of nurses who want to work remotely by low-balling them, even though they want experienced nurses. If you want experienced nurses, you should pay them what they're worth. It's a salaried position, but they expect you to work 8 hours a day even if you're done with your work. They also mentioned an internal survey showed coders were exceeding productivity, so they increased the daily requirement, essentially punishing them for working efficiently. She presented it like it was a good thing. Too many red flags here.
