I filled out the application online. Then I did a prerecorded video interview where I had two tries for each question. About 4 days later, they called me for a recruiter phone interview that was pretty casual and lasted about 15-20 minutes. A week after that, I got the offer. I started training a month later, which was paid at $18/hour and lasted a week. The process was quick and the interview was casual, but there was a long wait before starting.

Replied to craigslist ad with resume, and received a email reply from them the same day. The First Interview you are required to download a virtual interview app called HireVue. After you download the app, you do the interview. Very easy generic questions, after I passed the interview I was asked to do a second interview, with a third interview if I passed the second. The second interview I was told to call the company and pretend to be a customer to check out their process, and be prepared to do a roleplay with the sales manager. The second interview sucked as i hate role plays. Was emailed the next day That they are looking at other candidates. Pretty pissed off since I have over three years of successful work at home sales and made over $68,000 per year selling successfully from home, but this was not good enough for Varsity Tutors.

It started with a really informative phone interview, and then they set up a Skype interview for a few days later. There was definitely a lack of communication between the interviewers, which made it feel like I was starting from scratch each time. It was pretty frustrating! Also, the job details somehow changed, like the difference between part-time and full-time. I guess I got some interview practice, but the whole thing was a bit disorganized and frustrating. They said they'd get back to me within 48 hours, but I never heard anything back.
