Office Manager
The interview process was conducted online via Zoom, which seems to be the standard for most roles when working with employment agencies. They handle the scheduling, and then you set up your Zoom meeting. I'm not really sure what else to say; it was just regular questions about where you want to work and such.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- Why are you interested in this position?
Cleaner
The interview was with some skilled companies. They were really polite and the interviews were detailed and lasted around 30 minutes. First, the companies introduced themselves, then they asked me about my past experience and what qualifications I have. I got some good feedback after the interview.
- Can you tell me about your previous jobs?
- What qualifications do you have?
- When are you available to work?
Babysitter
When it comes to looking after someone's kids, you'll probably face a bunch of questions. They really want to be sure you're the right fit. A lot of parents like sitters with prior experience with children, but you can always start with relatives or family friends to get some references and experience under your belt. You can have your own idea of what you want to earn, but it's pretty likely they'll have a figure in mind for what they want to pay you. You can totally negotiate, and if you do a great job, there's always a chance you might get some tips.
- What would you do if a child wouldn't calm down?
- How would you handle a restless child who is inconsolable?
Marketing Operations Coordinator
Applied online and got a phone interview a few weeks later. Then had an in-person interview with the person I'd work closest with, which went well. They asked me to come back for a second interview with the manager, but it was a disaster. The manager wasn't on the same page as the first person and asked really tough questions.
- What are your thoughts on how this interview is progressing?
- Can you describe your application process for this company?
