The interview process seemed to be a backup candidate strategy. I cleared both the Technical and Managerial rounds, but they delayed the subsequent steps for 2-3 months. My follow-ups via chat and email went unanswered. On the third follow-up, they finally stated the position wasn't being filled due to business reasons. I suspect they were waiting to see if their first-choice candidate would join.

I was contacted by a consultancy and the first round was telephonic. The questions were really good and technical, focusing on understanding how things are made and their working. The second round was face-to-face with the Manager, Tech Lead, and Senior Manager. I was informed by the consultancy the next day that I was selected and got the offer letter that evening itself.

The whole interview process took around 3 to 4 weeks. I first heard from recruiters who set up the interview schedule and let me pick my slot. This first interview was to get to know me, my skills, and past experience, and to see if I'd be a good cultural fit. The second interview was with team leads and was technical. They asked me about practices I've done in past roles and what I would be doing in this new role.
