The hiring process was pretty simple. First, I spoke with a recruiter. After that, I was given a take-home test, which I submitted. Then, I had a Zoom call with a VP of Engineering, and finally, I went for an onsite interview.

Don't expect much from this, they might just ghost you. It's a take-home challenge where you gotta display posts from a JSON file you have to flatten. You also need to add a scroll animation and a search filter input box. Honestly, it's a pretty basic challenge and doesn't really show off much.

This interview process was super long, taking a whole month. I talked to at least 8 people, including the CEO at the very end. They seemed way more interested in hearing bad things about past employers than about me. There was also a long personality test and an essay that took up a lot of time and nobody even mentioned. The recruiter said it looked like I was getting the job and they just needed to sort out some paperwork, then they totally ghosted me. I tried reaching out a few more times and got different stories before I finally gave up. If they can't even handle the hiring process well, I can't imagine what it's like to work there. Guess I dodged a bullet.

I had a phone interview with the HR director, then they invited me for an in-person interview with the hiring manager. It was a long trip, almost 3 hours, and the interview itself was less than an hour, just a sit-and-talk. It felt unnecessary to do in-person when they knew I wasn't local, why not video? The worst part is I emailed to follow up and never got a response. I feel like my effort deserved at least a simple reply. The only good thing was the people I met seemed friendly, but now it just feels fake. Honestly, not a great experience, wouldn't recommend. You should look for a company that values people's time more.
