First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vantage Deluxe World Travel.
Customer Service and Sales Representative
The interview experience was really good, positive, efficient and fruitful. Excluding the 2 business days from applying online to calling to follow up, the whole process took 3 days. First was a 30-minute phone interview, followed by about 6 online aptitude tests that were actually quite fun. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview where I even got to double-jack. They extended an offer very quickly. Everyone I interacted with was great. This is definitely one of the most efficient hiring processes I've ever been through. (This is NOT a fake review, by the way)
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Travel Consultant
I reached out to Vantage Travel's Boston HQ and was directed to HR, specifically Kim Brown. I sent her my resume, along with recommendation letters and a photo. Following that, I had conversations with both Kim Brown and Rachel Funk, who were both very pleasant. Subsequently, I received and completed a test, which I later learned was not the correct one for my application. Despite this, they extended a job offer to me. The entire process concluded within a two-week timeframe.
- How do you handle objections from clients?
Sales Accountant Manager
I talked to 4 different people. Three were managers and one was the HR Rep. It was pretty straight forward and not intimidating. The CONS were they gave me a verbal offer and wanted me to accept it without receiving a formal written offer. They were very shady about their offer which did not have a clear outline of the goal compensation.
- Are you open to working on weekends?
Vice President Human Resources
Had two phone chats with the recruiter and HR, both under 30 mins. Did an online personality test and 5 online computer/competency tests. They asked me to write up a summary about the HR process and how it can be improved. Then there was a group interview with the owner and two managers.
- The interview centered around a group discussion.
