Store Manager
There were 3 interviews in total. The second one involved a case study presentation. Most questions focused on personality, past experiences, and cultural fit. I reached the stage where we discussed salary expectations, but unfortunately, no formal offer was extended, and I was ghosted. The interview process itself was seamless and engaging, and I felt fairly evaluated throughout.
- Can you describe the most challenging management experience you've encountered?
- What is the optimal team size for you to manage effectively?
- From a sales standpoint, what attributes do you find most significant?
Product Owner
The HR team did a good job organising things, but the interviewers didn't seem to read my resume beforehand, which was a bit awkward because I wasn't sure why I was there. Managers, please read the resume before scheduling interviews, so you don't waste time interviewing people whose experience doesn't match. Also, the interviewers weren't very enthusiastic about describing the job. It felt like they were proud to work for this cool bike brand but not really fulfilled. The culture seemed a bit strange.
- Can you walk me through your past experiences?
- What drives you to pursue this opportunity?
- What motivates you to apply for this position?
Data Scientist
I had a good first interview with the Global E-commerce Director and a Growth Manager. We talked about my qualifications, ideas, and general culture fit. After the interview, they emailed me saying I set a high bar and asked for my salary expectations. I gave them my expectation, and they responded that the CMO felt my work experience didn't match that salary and offered way less, over 20K less than I asked for. I withdrew my application right away. It's a bummer they thought using bully tactics to devalue my skills would make me lower my salary expectations.
- What salary can you expect for this position?
Supply Chain Manager
It was pretty simple, started with the hiring manager over the phone, then went onsite. The onsite involved another meeting with the manager to go over a case study about planning and how to get materials in when there's schedule pressure. After that, there were 2 cross-functional people who I met with for a culture fit discussion.
- Can you share an example of when you put in place a new cross-functional process? What were the outcomes and challenges?
- How would you approach managing material procurement when facing tight deadlines and schedule constraints?
- What is your strategy for assessing cultural alignment with potential team members?
