First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at VanEck.
Digital Marketing Intern
The first part was a chat with HR. Then there were two more rounds with digital marketing and digital operations directors. They want to see that you're curious, have some experience to discuss (like your eagerness to learn, interest in the company, and in finance), and can show you actually know about VanEck's products and what they're trying to do.

Accountant
There were two interviews. The first was with HR and was pretty laid-back and more of a chat. The second interview was with the department manager where we talked about my resume and previous experiences, and they also asked some behavioral questions. That one was also a bit conversational.

Software Developer
First stage: a call with a recruiter from the US office. Then: an in-person meeting at the office with the recruiter, manager, and tech lead. It seemed like they were conducting this type of interview for the first time, as few to no questions were asked.
- What do you expect from this role?
- What's your motivation for joining us?
- Can you commit to a full-time, in-office schedule?
Product Manager
I went through 4 rounds of interviews and spoke with 9 individuals, including some very senior management members. The entire process felt a bit disorganized. The scheduling wasn't always clear, and in the second round, some interviewers just showed up randomly over a two-hour period. There seemed to be a lack of coordination between HR and the hiring team, which was surprising for a smaller company. After the final round with senior management, I never received any feedback. I reached out to HR, but they didn't respond. Three weeks later, I noticed the same job posting with slightly revised requirements. It struck me as unprofessional, especially since I invested time and effort in preparing for all those conversations. An automated rejection would have sufficed. Honestly, it might have been for the best, and I can only imagine the chaos of onboarding if the interview process was this haphazard. Some of the people I spoke with even subtly suggested as much.
