First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vanderweil Engineers.
Mechanical Engineer
The scheduling was fast and I got quick initial replies. But my questions before the interview were not answered. The interview was virtual, and I talked with some very nice and professional team leads. I was told I'd hear back by a certain date or when there was news, but I never got a response. I sent follow-up emails but never heard back.
- Could you share a previous work experience?
Fire Protection Engineer
It was a virtual meeting with the head of fire protection and the lead fire protection engineer. It was a pretty casual conversation to go over what is expected, workload, company culture, your experience and your comfortability with learning.
- Are you comfortable using REVIT and can you handle several projects concurrently?
Project Manager
Applied one day and got a call three days later. The recruiter did a quick interview over the phone during that call and then scheduled an in-person interview for the following week. The whole process was fast.
- Why did you choose project management as a career?
Recruiting Manager
Met with the company three times in person. The reception was positive, and they clearly explained the expectations. I appreciated learning about their history as a privately owned, profitable company. Additionally, the benefits offered were very attractive.
- What makes you believe you can succeed in this role within a corporate setting, given its differences from an agency environment?
