I was excited about this company but unfortunately, they also ghosted me. It's a common problem in the job market that needs to be addressed. I reached out about a role and was connected with someone quickly. We had some calls to gauge my interest in the position. Then, they stopped responding, and I haven't heard back since.

The hiring manager for the area I was applying to was the one who received me. We talked about family and school records. Then, I was asked to write a free-form essay. Four days later, I was contacted by the manager of the department, who discussed technical topics.

I first met with some folks at Vanderhouwen's Portland office. They gave me some pointers on my resume and chatted about potential job matches with some of their clients. Later, I was in regular contact with one of their recruiters. She really put in the effort to find me opportunities within my desired pay range. She managed to set up an interview for a temporary role, and it looked like she'd get me a second one, but I ended up taking a permanent job before that interview happened. Overall, it was a really good experience. I'd definitely suggest them, especially if you're new to the Portland area and looking for a job.

First, I had a phone screen with a Technical Recruiter, then another phone screen with the Recruiting Manager. After that, I went in for an in-person panel interview with a group of Technical Recruiters. Then, I had an in-person interview with the Recruiting Manager and the General Manager, and finally, an in-person interview with the CEO.
