First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vandelay Industries.
Salesman
It was a pretty fast process overall. Most of the communication was over the phone, with just one in-person meeting. The office was in a small building on the west side, which felt quite intimate and right in the middle of NY.
- What motivated you to pursue a career in latex sales?
Logistics
Overall the interview process was good. Asked great questions and it appears to be the kind of company I'd be interested in working with. Didn't end up getting hired but none the less was impressed with the atmosphere.
- Can you tell me about a time you experienced a conflict at work and how you resolved it?
Project Manager
So first, candidates send in their applications and resumes online. Then, our HR team checks if they meet the basic requirements and if they seem like a good fit for the job. If they do, the next step is a phone call with someone from HR. This person will chat with the candidate about their past work, what they've done, and where they see themselves going career-wise.
- What motivates you to want to join our company?
Designer
The interview included some theoretical questions, a review of my past work, and a whiteboard challenge. I had to design a user flow for a delivery app within 15 minutes, and my thought process was discussed and questioned. The whole thing took about an hour and a half.
- Can you discuss the current digital design trends?
- Walk me through the design of a user flow for a delivery application.
